Editor's Note: Congratulations to Maura, Kim, and P for winning this week's contest!
Apple is one of the biggest names in consumer electronics; whenever a new iPhone is released, you can bet there'll be news stories of mile-long lines at the Apple store. But while Apple products certainly are popular, they tend to come with a higher price point (especially the new models) and many consumers prefer other brand that provide similar functions at a lower cost.
Do you own Apple products? Are you generally happy with them? If you don't use Apple products, what other brands do you prefer for your gadgets?
Tell us whether you own Apple products and we'll enter you in a drawing to win a $20 Amazon Gift Card!
We're doing three giveaways — here's how you can win!
If you're inspired to write a whole blog post OR you have a photo on flickr to share, please link to it in the comments or tweet it.
Good Luck!

I do not currently own any Apple Products. They are expensive, but I want an IPAD someday!
Yes I own an ipad and iphone and have been happy with them. Easy to use especially together
I do not personally own any Apple products anymore. My last ones were a 1st-generation iPad from work and an iPod nano. I just refuse the pay the "Apple tax" of 50-100% over similar items from other manufacturers. Apple does a fantastic job of industrial design and an even better job of marketing, but I just do not see any added value in their products to justify the price differential
The only Apple products I have are a few iPads.
I use nothing but Apple products: 2 iPhones, 2 iPads, 2 iMacs, and an Apple TV. I would own nothing else.
I use Apple products an am happy with them. They're very user friendly.
I love Apple products. I use a MacBook Pro, iPhone 6, AppleTV, and Apple Watch every day, and I love how it all just works! The integration between devices and the overall quality are amazing.
I don't have any Apple products. I don't really like how much of a status symbol it's become. I feel like there are more things I can do with devices from other companies.
We have a few iPods around. That's all folks.
Yes, I own Apple products: iPhone, MacBook Pro, iPad and a few iPods over the years. I guess Beats headphones count too since apple bought them. I love all of the products for their ease of use and longevity.

Not a fan, I have Samsung S6 and a Microsoft Surface. Had iPhones for years, but prefer the Samsung ones. I have no desire for an iPad.
I own Ipad and Ipod - I would love iMac all in one for my design
I own an iPod Touch
I have an iphone and a mac computer, I have trouble with my phone since it's older and doesn't handle updates well. The computer has lasted a long time, I love it, but it does have quirk like any electronic device.
ipad, mac laptop,iphones
I'm on my iPad mini right now. I also have an iPod Touch. Both my kids have Apple devices, but Hubby refuses to get sucked in.
I have two iphones, an ipad, an apple tv, two macbook pros, and I love them all because they are easy to use and work so well together.
I have an iPod and that's it!
We do own and like Apple products - iPod, iPhones, Apple TV, iPads, desktop and laptop. The hope is with a higher price tag and better quality, they'll last longer.
Yes, I have an iPad mini (which I love) but do not have an iPhone. My husband is addicted to his phone and I always say I don't want to love my phone that much. I have a 6-year-old Android that I might have to replace soon because it's so old I can't run a lot of apps on it (like my bank).
I love my iphone. Very easy for someone who has not grown up with all the technology. I don't know what I did without one.
I have an iPhone, iPad and iPod Shuffle and am relatively happy with them.
No, I don't own any Apple products. I find them way too pricey for my budget. The only gadget I have is my smartphone, which is a Samsung.
Nope, no iAnything in our house. Too expensive, so we still to Windows and/or Android.
We have been Apple users since 1987. Our entire family and extended family all use Apple products. We have been very pleased with the advances and improvements made throughout the years by Apple.
We have iPhones, a laptop, and another laptop we will purchase in the next month for my law school requirements. We are huge fans, especially as we use each item until it doesn't work anymore or becomes too expensive to fix. No new upgrades every year or two for us, which keeps costs down... our last laptop lasted for 6 and still works!
My first Mac was in 1985 and we've had Macs ever since. We all have iPhones and Apple computers. I have an iPad as well as Apple stock. In fact, I've got many generations of Apple computers. I don't know why we keep them since the data would be impossible to retrieve. We did boot up out 512K Macintosh from 1985 and it still works! We all know how to use PCs but I personally don't like the Windows operating system.
We don't own any apple products. My husband usually is the one who buys our electronics, and he's always went with something else.
I do not use any Apple products. I've tried the ipods a few times, and they worked ok, but there are plenty of other products that do the exact same things. I prefer Android, and even PC over Mac. Apple can make good products, but they definitely aren't worth the price/status symbol. I also think other companies make their products more user friendly and customizable.
I just got my first iphone 5c and I love it!
Don't drink the kool-aid! It's a terrible company. I have never spent a dime on apple products despite being an IT professional who constantly buys bleeding edge toys...
I own an iphone.
Yes. iPad, Tv, and Laptop.
No.
My husband has an iPad and an iPhone.
My husband and I both own Macbook Airs, but we both have android cell phones.
I currently own an iPhone 6 and a MacBook Pro.
I just recently bought an iPhone 6 about a week ago. I thought I would be paying $300 but ended up paying $750 because my carrier no longer does the $300 promotion deal. I was thinking, maybe I shouldn't buy it, but then I thought, I'm not going to buy an android phone, so I dished out the money.
Once you're in the Apple system, it's hard to get out!
ipad and iphone
Yes, I have an iPhone. It is a used hand me down from my daughter.
I own an Apple ipad and an iphone.
I own apple products (iPhone, iPod (old), and macbook pro), and while I'm generally happy with them, in some ways I feel "trapped" into staying with them because I don't want to learn another system or figure out how to get away from itunes.
The only Apple product I currently own is an iPod (which I've had for quite a few years now. No idea which generation it is. I just know it's old.). I'm still very happy with it.
Yes, I have many! Love them!
Yes, I own an iPad and an iPhone. I have been happy with both products. My husband loves Apple products and has an ipad, iPhone, iMac computer and he just got the watch.
i do use apple
Almost all of my products are Apple - and have been for many years. I currently have a Macbook Pro and iPhone 6. The Apple Watch seems way too connected for my taste and my iPad was sold because I didn't use it much.
The reason I love my Apple products is because I run my own business and everything syncs between the units. Although expensive at first, they last a very long time and are easy to use.
I use Apple phone and am very happy with it. They're very user friendly.
I have two ipads and two iphones. I love them! Mostly because they are so user-friendly.
An iphone, ipad, and various ipods over the years...generally happy with them
Yes. I own a MacBook, iPhone, and iPad.
I have an iPod, but everything else is non-Apple. I'm always behind on the tech trends!
At 48, I finally own my first Apple product, a MacBook Air, purchased last year. I wanted one for years and am over-the-moon with it. It is so superior to laptops I was using previously.
I have an iPhone and a iPad . Love Apple products, wouldn't have anything else .
Amazingly my husband and I have not gotten ANY Apple products! We
Yes yes and yes - love them and prefer them to the extent that our house is now all apple, all the time
I have owned several Apple Products. Currently, I own and Ipad Air, a Ipod shuffle and and Iphone.
I currently have an apple computer and iPhone and love both of them. I have not had the money yet to get an iPad but its in the works!
Yes, my son and I both have an iPhone 6 Plus. He has an iPad 3 and I have the iPad 2. He also has a Macbook Air. This is the second iPhone I've owned and I won't have anything else now. Once you go Mac, you'll never go back!
I do not own any Apple products, but my husband and 2 daughters each have iPhones and they all like them and would not consider changing.
I have an Ipad but only because my laptop was stolen overseas and I needed something quick so knowing that Apple stores sell genuine items, I got an ipad. It wouldn't have been my first choice if I had time to shop
I recently bought an IPad. I've had it about 2 weeks now!
Yes, I have an iMac. I transitioned almost a year ago and it was frustrating, but worth it. I'm under-utilizing my Mac, though, and need to get more into iMovie and Garage Band to see what all they can do.
I have an iphone 5 (yes, not an S) with a cracked screen, which I can't bring myself to fix. I have an ipad 2, which barely got used until I recently picked up Candy Crush again so I need multiple devices to support that addiction. I got the 27" iMac for Christmas (2014) and I am IN LOVE with it. I cannot leave the Apple family. It just does not make any sense to me to buy anything but Apple products.
Yes. we have 4 MacBooks, Apple TV, an ipad mini, & 4 or 5 ipods. Interestingly, our phones are all Android...
We own several products, macbook, ipad, ipods - they've been great and really reliable. Especially compared to windows based devices.
No, I prefer Android products, thank you.
I'm an Apple loyalist! I've own an iPod Touch 3rd gen & 5th gen, iPhone 4 & 5s, Macbook (White) & Macbook Pro, iPod Nano 6th gen, iPad Mini & iPad 2, and an Apple Watch! My whole family uses Apple products too. I'm only lacking an iMac to complete my collection. Lol! But seriously, I wouldn't consider anything else.
I like Apple products - my first two computers were a Macintosh and a Powerbook. But I buy for utility and simplicity, and I find that my Android smartphone and Chromebook fill my personal needs perfectly well.
Yes, I own an iphone and a macbook.
I have 2 apple ipods (touch and a nano). They are the only good music players around but I much prefer android over apple any day, especially for phones and tablets.
We're an almost entirely Apple product family with the exception of a few Android gadgets. I own a MacBook pro, iphone, ipod touch, few other ipods and an ipad. I don't think I can go back to a PC. Once you integrate all Apple products, they work seamlessly. Never had issues with viruses or downloading files. They also last me a long time, at least 5-6 years before having to upgrade to the latest one. The only time I upgrade is when the current OS doesn't work with the latest hardware.
We own two iMac desktop computers and a mac powerbook laptop. We've had them for years. iPhones are too expensive and we don't need or want all the time-sucking apps.
We have iPads & iPhones so iAMBROKE
All of my kids have ipads, my two in college have the 2nd generation and my two youngest have ipad minis and the three oldest have ipods
I have a Macbook, an iPod nano, and an iPhone 6. I love the products, but whenever it comes time to buy a new device I am always torn between the less expensive products (but equally as good, I'm sure) and spending the ridiculous amount of $ for a new apple device. I'd like to maybe veer off the Apple path next time, but it's hard when Apple has established itself as such a status symbol and ubiquitous electronics company.
I have Apple products and love them! I had so many issues with my old PC that I said next time it broke, I'd be getting a MacBook and I went from there. Same thing with my Android phones. I received an iPad for Christmas one year and have iPhones for a few years now. They all integrate so seamlessly that I can't imagine switching to something else now. They work well together, have a lot less issues than my old PC and Android and I've been very happy with their service.
Yes, I own an iPad and an iPhone.
I do own Apple products and am generally satisfied with them.
I don't have any Apple products. My smart phone is from Samsung; tablet is Toshiba and laptop is HP. I have no problems with any of my "toys" and don't see the need to spend all that money on a name.
I own a Macbook Pro and an iPhone. I'm very happy with both. I'm trying to convince my parents to get iPads because my mother is constantly dealing with viruses on her computer (which she only uses for email and some games.) The last PC I had got wiped twice due to viruses. I didn't want the hassle, plus paying for help costs a lot! My Apple products might have been a larger upfront investment, but less hassle in the long run.
I don't own any, nor will I.
Yes, I own an Apple iPad, & plan on purchasing an iPhone in the near future. Yes, I am happy with my iPad, it's opened up a new world for me.
No Apple products. Samsung 5s phone & Toshiba notebook. Apple costs 3 to 4 Times more with no obvious big benefits. Unless you are a millionaire you should not buy Apple products, it will negatively hold you back in saving for college, vacation & retirement.
No, they've never had anything I was too excited about. Although the KonMarie people love the apple boxes to organize drawers.
No, I don't own any Apple products. I hope to when my finances have improved.
I own apple products- an ipod shuffle, an ipod touch and an iphone 4s each for myself and my son. Apple products are quite expensive but the products are simply awesome.
Yes I own an iPhone, iPad, iPad mini and a Mac computer. I don't wear watches but I do want an Apple watch.
My husband bought me an iphone when we merged cell plans when engaged because he thought I would like it even though he is a PC guy. He was right, I love it and have gotten upgrades every 2 years since, but now we also have 2 computers, an ipad, an ipad mini, and an apple TV, even though he still claims to be a PC guy!
My personal home computer is an iMac desktop and everyone in my family has an iPhone. One of the best features is how they work together. I love these products and definitely prefer them to the PC/Android alternatives.
I have an iphone and have had an Ipad and a Macbook in the past. I love them but I do have a hard time justifying the extra expense if work is not covering the cost.
I have a Macbook and an iPhone. My husband has an iPad and iPhone. I find that I really love the mac osx over the pc I have at work. I don't think I'll get another iPhone, though. They're not worth the hype, and they're very expensive to replace. I'll be going back to a Samsung here soon.
Yes, I do... Great products and great customer service!
I have a lot of Apple products. They are really easy to use. I think they cost more than comparable devices, but the design and ease of use are priceless to me.
Yep, I have a Macbook and iPhone! The computer has lasted since 2008 in pretty good shape so I'm not complaining
I have an old school ipod. That's it!
I own several Apple products and I am happy with them
Yes I own both a Macbook and an Ipad. These products are worth the money that you pay for and generally tend to last a while (unless there is some sort of accident).
Yes, all our computers and phones at home are Macs/Apples and my husband has an iPad, as well.
I have used Apple products for years and find them fantastic.
