Editor's Note: Congratulations to Monique, Pam, and Lynda for winning this week's contest!
It can't be stressed enough how important it is to save for your retirement. But how much you need to save really depends on how you want to spend your golden years. Some people want to travel, some want to stay home and spend time with family, and others want to continue working some of the time.
How would you like to spend your retirement? Will you spend it at home or abroad? Are your finances on track for your retirement plans?
Tell us how you would like to spend your retirement and we'll enter you in a drawing to win a $20 Amazon Gift Card!
We're doing three giveaways — here's how you can win!
If you're inspired to write a whole blog post OR you have a photo on flickr to share, please link to it in the comments or tweet it.
Good Luck!

I hope to travel, remain active, and read all the books I never seem to have time for now!
I'd love to spend my retirement traveling.
My dream retirement would be to travel the world!
I'd love to spend my retirement reading all the books I've wanted to read and being cozy at home. Unfortunately, I'll never be able to retire.

I want to have land and a nice house with a big garden and lots of chickens. But I also want to have easy access to a city and friends and family.

We plan on traveling in our camper and work part-time on the road, hopefully as camp hosts in state/national parks so we can supplement our retirement $$, or at least spend less of them while working in campgrounds (most offer a free campsite if you work as a camp host).
We would love to get a little beach house on the intercoastal of NC and have some small jobs on the side.
I want to live in Puerto Rico and do all the hobbies I don't have time to do now.
I would want to scale back and just take life a little easier - less obligations, simpler living and the freedom to say no.
I would spend it closer to home and doubt I'd travel much.
I would like to live by the water, spend time with my daughter and do community work for the church to help sick and elderly people. Do some traveling also.
Thank you for the opportunity!
I want to travel and remain active.
I am already easing into "retirement," and so far I have it all. Work: I'm continuing to earn some money from writing and have add another minor income stream from tutoring. Family: My husband and I care for our two grandchildren two days a week, plus occasional evenings and have an extended family dinner about once a week. We also go on vacation with the family every other year. Learn new things: Recently, I took golf lessons and now play 9 holes once a week with my husband. I'm also planning on learning Spanish. Giving back, being useful: I volunteer with the state fish and wildlife department which involves me with a wide variety of activities. Staying physically active: I exercise 6 days a week--water aerobics, workout videos, walks with my daughter, golf. One area I'd to beef up--more cultural engagement (plays, concerts, art museums)--but we're on a limited budget.
Hoping to travel extensively! We love to travel and I can't wait to see more of the world.
I want to relax and walk to the beat of my own drum, not sticking to any regimented schedule. I want to read, help others, and love my family and dog. Can't wait!

Travel the world and experience different cultures!
Like others have mentioned, I'd like to be able to travel with friends, but also meet new people along the way. It'd also be nice to have time to really get into some hobbies like gardening and hiking.

Travel and stay for three months and move on to the next destination
I am within two years of retirement and I'm telling everyone that the very first thing I plan to do is take a cross country trip, from east coast to west and back again, visit all the sights I've always wanted to see. Hope my dream comes true. After that, anything I want to.
