I have always enjoyed the fall. I am from the northeast, so the fall foliage is gorgeous. A nice fall hike in the Adirondacks was always enjoyable as a child. Even better is apple picking! Now that I am an adult I make sure to go every season, pick a tons of apples to eat and make pies with, get a cider doughnut and enjoy a local orchard. It's also a great time for walking the dog! Not too warm, not too cold and still sunny outside.
Autumn is my favorite season. Yesterday was my birthday and I've always loved this time of year (not because of getting older, but just because of the feel of October). I love the changing leaves, dressing the kids up for Halloween, and spending time with family during Thanksgiving. There is no better time of year, in my opinion. Christmas comes a distant 2nd for me behind Thanksgiving. Christmas is more about the commercial aspect while Thanksgiving is more about family, which I love.
The food. Turkey, apple pie, pumpkin pie. Fall is great. We don't have any traditions aside from eating seasonal food.
I LOVE Thanksgiving! I feel like the it's the perfect holiday that always reminds me of how grateful I should be for everything in my life.
Enjoying the colors of the leaves falling, pumpkin picking, and hot cider <3
I love taking long walks and admiring the beautiful fall foliage! I also love cooking heartier foods once the weather turns chillier.
I like the fall leaves colors and cooler weather. My favorite fall food is apple pie
The best thing about autumn is PUMPKIN EVERYTHING!!! :)
The thing I like most about autumn is the crispness in the air.
Autumn in NJ is beautiful. It's almost like God painted a picture. My family loves to hike, and the Autumn temperatures and scenery are perfect.
I like the crisper, cooler weather. Makes taking long walks with my dogs much more pleasant than the summer heat. I also like Halloween and the candy and scary movies that go with it.
I love all the typical things: pumpkin, cocoa, apples, leaves. I really like corn mazes too and just being outside without sweating!
What I like most about Autumn is building leaf piles with the kids, so much fun.
I love the fall, especially in Texas because there was such a cool crispness to the air. I don't experience that as much in St. Louis (right now it's rainy and gloomy) but getting to experience the changing colors of the leaves while enjoying fall-themed foods is pretty great.
Definitely the food that accompanies the season. Turkey, pumpkin-themed EVERYTHING (I'm looking at you, Trader Joe's), and anything that involved apple cider.
The weather!
Summer is too hot, winter is too cool, but the fall (and the spring) are the best times in my state to be outside.
Plus: lower utility bills make me smile.
We usually try to go to an apple orchard each year and then make lots and lots of applesauce!
Summers are brutal in the south, so I love the cooler, drier weather of autumn.
I like the cooler weather and pumpkins!!!
I like the cooler weather and the pumpkins!
I love the red maple leaves!
I love to take a hike or a drive with a cup of coffee in hand, somewhere with pretty leaves. Plus I love changing out decor and clothes for warmer ones and re-reading some favorite feel-good books. I basically just love the coziness, in any form! :)
i love the crunch of the fall leaves under my feet, and the fall leaves changing colors. pumpkin patches, pumpkin any type of food, apple cider, and hot chocolate!
There is a quality to the light in fall that I love.
Fall = family time in our family. It is a time where we get together more and enjoy each others company.
I love autumn -- the cooler temps, the beautiful color changes in foliage. But what I love most is visiting the apple orchard in our NC mountains. We enjoy the morning outside as we pick apples and devour fresh, hot apple cider and apple donuts.
I like the changing colors of the foliage while out for a walk. Also the cooler evenings are so much more comfortable for sleeping! It's our favorite time to go camping and enjoy the outdoors.
I grew up on the gulf coast of Florida, so now that I live somewhere with actual seasons (northeast Georgia), I truly appreciate them. I love the heat of the summer, but when it ends, I am ready for the crisper, dry air, especially in the early morning when I run. Our children like to roast marshmallows over our fire pit, and we can watch SEC football every weekend. I like to think that no matter how old I get, I'm never too old to jump in a pile of freshly raked leaves with my kids. I hope I'll always feel that way.
I love the cooler temperatures. Ever since I finished school, summer has really lost its allure, being just the unpleasantly hot season.
When the leaves start turning beautiful colors, it's time for my birthday! (And that means cake.) Hence, my favorite things!
I love the Holidays this time of year. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are a great time to spend with family. I like making pies and drinking Apple Cider and picking apples at the Apple Farm!
The changing of leaves is my favorite about Fall! Also love apple picking and visiting the local pumpkin patches!
Autumn is my favorite time of year, I love that the weather changes to be cool and mild and that I get to look forward to Halloween and Thanksgiving. And it's great that the cooler weather means I can bake more, especially desserts with apples and all kinds of breads.
I love the look of Autumn outside with the leaves and trees and overall beauty of it all. I also love the entire feeling of the season.
Cooler weather, low humidity & fresh breezes! Living in Louisiana, it's wonderful when the weather finally cools down so we can enjoy sitting on the patio & taking evening walks without sweating. Sadly, we don't get the beautiful changes in color that other areas of the country enjoy...
nothing
i hate the darkness!
Oh fall is one of my favorite seasons! I LOVE the leaves changing colors! So beautiful!!! We love to visit the pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins, and go to the corn maze! So much fun! One of my favorite fall foods is Apple Crisp! YUM
Autumn in Utah is like one of those beautiful fall art pictures you see in a museum. I love To walk near my neighborhood with my daughter to take pictures. I also like to decor my house with harvest items like a welcome sign, warm scent candles, and flowers. Going to the pumpkin patch is a new tradition for my family so excited to see my daughter's first reaction! Dressing up and baking goodies during Halloween night is totally what we are looking forward to enjoy the most :)
I love the apple and pumpkin baked goods!
I love the changing color of the leaves and the breezy cooler weather.
We wait months and months each year down here in the deep south for the cooler temperatures to signal fall. Finally, well into October we are getting a taste of a cool night. No more 90's for a while.
love winter clothes and the crisp air
Fall has always been my favorite! I love how the weather gets just cool enough, and we get a pretty good amount of rain showers in our part of the country. I love the leaves, the festivals, the fall styles, the fall foods (I just tried spaghetti squash for the first time), the anticipation of Thanksgiving and Christmas. My favorite fall food is apple dumplings (we use the Duggar's recipe -- SOO good!).
The cool, crisp morning air when I go out for my walks.
Every year we take a trip to the mountains with the whole family. We go hiking and fishing. Have fires and eat lots of s'mores
I like watching fall sports - football, the world series, and the beginning of hockey season. I also enjoy the food and drinks associated with fall such as apple cider, pumpkin pie, spiced beers.
I love baking with pumpkin or apples.
The best thing about fall is foraging for mushrooms: chanterelles, porcini, matsutake...
I love everything about autumn. It's the beginning of the holiday season, plus I love the change in the weather, the fuzzy clothes, the hot chocolate, warm soups and stews - it's all wonderful.
I love making pumpkin bread
Apple Picking
I love everything - the cooler weather, sweaters, hot cocoa and apple cider, trips to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch, squash pie, etc.
I just love everything about it - the leaves, the smell, the foods... It's my favorite season!
First, the brilliant fall colors. Second, the brisk cold air, and the low humidity. The air is crisper, cleaner in the fall.
Autumn reminds me of returning to school in New England. In Boston, the chilled air forces you to bundle up in a thick sweater. As a native Virginia, I would dread the onset of fall. Over time, however, I began to enjoy crisper breaths, hot cider, and holding a loved one's hand to give us a small respite from the winds. The colors and scarves remind me of stomping on leaves with rain boots, studying for class in a with coffee, and wandering around Boston's North End in search of a cannoli. Fall reminds me of special people in life. That time we had to slush through damp leaves after a Halloween party. That time we waited for the T together with clattering teeth. That time we tossed a football in Harvard Yard. Fall is nostalgia in shades of orange and red.
I love my pumpkin spice lattes! MMMMMM!
