Editor's Note: Congratulations to NJJ, Lisa, and B for winning this week's contest!

Since professional golfer and NFL QB are not going to happen, I'll say CIO of a major university. The pay would be comfortable. I would have the opportunity to run an enterprise, while likely being able to publish and speak on academic topics, travel some, and hopefully be part of a learning, continuously improving organization.

My Dream Job would be for my blog character- Bohemian Babushka to start earning her keep! ; ) My blog, Babushka's Baile, has been doing very well considering I started in August, and her public appearances have been well accepted. To be able to make a living from writing as the bubbly and babbling BB, to be able to travel spreading her joy of life, this would be a wonderful job and I'm ready to jump into it.

"And to those who don't see your brilliance, look at them, smile, and say, "JU SO FONII!!!"

If I knew what my ideal job was, I'd be able to do something about working towards getting it. However, I'm on the other side of 40 and I still have no clue what I want to be when I grow up :(

I'm living my "real" dream job right now, being the best wife and mom I can be to my husband and our two children. Traveling with them is just the icing on the already wonderful cake.

My dream job is to live in Europe and show people all the cool places off the beaten path that I've found, but since it's not practical right now, I'll stick with my dream life.

I think my dream job is where I can use my skillsets. I'm an MBA with quite a bit of business experience. I'd prefer to work in a position which is challenging and provides opportunities to learn more than taking a boring job with higher pay.

Right now it would be to be at home with my two small children (3 and 6). I truly wish I were a SAHM right now while they are little. When they get older, I'd love to run a candy shop (think fudge, truffles, etc). I love making that stuff and seeing other people eating the things I make. =)

Well...I used to think my dream job would be one where I was in upper management, leading, coaching and moving the business in a positive direction. After being laid off, my whole life radically changed and so did my thoughts on a dream job. I currently work in an hourly position that requires no responsibility except to manage myself. I actually like this freedom and I would like to continue this but maybe in a company with Christian values and a goal to be a part of supporting God's kingdom and promoting the Gospel.

My dream job would be something that I can do from home that would make good money and would allow me to utilize my talents to help others. I have not figured out what that is yet, but I am still looking. :) In the meantime, I am enjoying freelance writing and blogging greatly.

I don't dream of jobs, I've had over 50 jobs already, I dream of a life, the life of an artist. I dream of a time when I will no longer have to live by some other persons rules, a time when I can spend all my energy creating. Being an artist isn't a job, its a way of being that permeates every aspect of you life. And when I get to that place where I no longer have to work a job, watch out world I am coming for you.

I was lucky to have my dream job - twice! I worked in a library and also as a church administrator and only employee at times. I realized I really like to work alone while at the church. Then when I went to the library, I was a little worried about working with the public; but I really liked that, too.

My dream job has evolved over the years. Still would love to do them all (below). However, I find the most rewarding in helping people, especially kids, make the right decisions when it comes to their future. I used to be a teacher but that was taken away or left behind due to the lack of money they get paid. It's hard to support a family on a teacher's salary.

Baseball player - Photographer (who doesn't want a shot on the cover of Nat. Geographic?) - Surfer - traveller - author - Principal - entrepreneur - business executive - Owning my own advertising company.

I don't have a dream job per se, I'd rather just focus on being happy. For me my job isn't my identity so being happy is easier for me to focus on. I do think it would be fun to be a children's book author and illustrator :)

My dream job would be to work from home on our tea business, raise animals and live out in the country. I'd love to get in some volunteering as well.
My main priorities in choosing a job have always been:
1. Close to home/10 min or less commute
2. Free dress code(for me, black shirt/jeans is the norm)
3. Low stress/opportunity to work alone for the most part/quiet environment
Thankfully I have all of those things now. The $$ is okay but I choose this over business attire, 2hr daily commutes and 100K per year, no thanks.

That sounds fun! Like when no one is dancing, or it's just got that uncomfortable " yawn factor" starting to happen. You could be a integral part of the day. People plan for months and years sometimes and guests just don't gel. I feel sorry for those bride and grooms. I think it's a great idea!

My dream job idea has changed over the years, in high school I thought it would be neat to be a truck driver that went across country. You could see so much. But then after knowing some truck drivers, I've learned that it's not that glamorous. Then I would have wanted to be a horse trainer, but after working with horses for years and being sent to the hospital a couple of times by them, not so sure about that either. So then I am thinking it would be great to have a bed and breakfast where you could meet alot of people and I love to cook and entertain. But I already do that in my own humble way. So I guess my really really dream job would be getting paid to do what I love now. Traveling when I can, entertaining when I can, and having some animals around for company, and spending alot more time with my husband of 35 years. :)

My dream job as a kid was "explorer", but there's not much need for that now - ha! Then it was archaeologist, then to work for the CIA as an analyst, then work in a diplomatic role somewhere in the world. Now, my dream job is more nebulous -- I'd like to be an authority or expert in "something", always researching and learning to stay abreast of "it" and travel around to meet and collaborate with colleagues. I wouldn't mind doing this as a representative under the auspices of a true philanthropic or scientific entity.

I have my dream job. I'm a mom and a wife. Sure, I'd love better pay and I wouldn't mind having the opportunity to travel but overall I am very happy with my choice. I have a supportive spouse and great kids. I've been able to focus on what I love and who I love and that has been a blessing.

My dream job would be as an assistant stage or production manager for a financially stable regional theatre. I don't want the stress of being the one in charge but I like the responsibility of keeping things coherent. I would also prefer a "house" or permanent position rather than seasonal or show to show. I am an AEA member and went to college in theatre but now live in an area that does not support ehough of the arts.

I have my dream job, just not my dream pay! I do crime analysis for the police and love it. But, if I had no need to make money I would open up a retirement community for pets. I have always wanted to be able to afford to take care of those dogs and cats that are "seniors" and either no one adopts or families can no longer care for. To be able to give those animals love and affection and medical care during their sunset years would be my dream come true.

I'd love to be an "academic coach" at the college where I teach as an adjunct. The school needs someone to track down struggling students and work with them to get their grades up. As it is, students are put on academic probation if they're in danger of failing, but there's no support offered after that. They can go to the tutoring center or to workshops about stuff like time management, but these students need somebody to keep tabs on them to make sure they're applying the skills they learn in workshops, etc. I love working with students, and I know I could be great at helping students improve their GPAs. I'm woefully underpaid as an adjunct, so the salary wouldn't even have to be great to be an improvement!

I would like a job, that allowed me to serve the needs of the elderly, but not medically speaking. I would like to coordinate daily activities. My job would entail making them smile and try to enjoy what's left of thier life, even though they may be in a cruddy nursing home. I would hug them on Christmas and other holidays when someone in thier family just couldn't make it to visit. Most importantly, I would work to improve working conditions in skilled nursing facilities, so the workers would be allowed to provide better care. I would like to remodel the current system of basically herding the elderly into place that has a bed for them. It would be nice to not fear nursing homes, and know that you were going to receive adequate care. To know that when you took your last breath, someone would be holding your hand.

My dream job would be one where I could go to work when I wanted to, have no direct boss but I'm part of a team trying to accomplish a goal, no politics, but I work with people I like who aren't try to outcompete each other for raises or atta boys.
