3 months exploring Italy
My dream vacation would be somewhere tropical.
My dream vacation is going camping with the family and friends. Hopefully someplace that has only spotty cell service at best (preferably no cell service). Some place that has water to put my chair by so I can read while being able to take cool off in the water. Somewhere that we can listen to the birds and see some beautiful woods/scenery. Sit by the fire with my husband & kids in the evening. And we do this as often as we can in the summer.
My dream vacation is a month on Palau :-)
Australia and New Zealand
My current dream vacation is a trip to Disney World with my boyfriend. He has never been and I'm just in love with it. It would be awesome to just play around and pretend to be kids again.
My dream vacation would be to travel to Africa, to Morroco, Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Benin, Madagascar, South Africa, Tanzania, Gambia, and Tunisia. I especially would love to see the Safari, the beaches, and the ancient structures there. It would be great to have residents as guides rather than the typical tourist guides.
My dream vacation would be to go to Greece. I have always wanted to see all the historic site, the blue blue water and take in all the culture. It is on my husbands and mine bucket list.

I would love to visit the Virgin Islands by myself. Love my husband and the dogs, but if we're talking "dream" vacation, some time alone to relax and explore would be ideal. Not anywhere near making it happen, hence it being a dream.
My dream vacation would be in a tropical location (like Hawaii or Costa Rica) with my entire family. My parents won't make the effort to treat themselves, so I would love to have them enjoy a week in paradise and not feel forced to be frugal while on vacation.
I'm pretty happy on a beach with a book. I guess if money, time, etc weren't an issue, I would like to visit a new island every few days. I also like to keep the traveling part simple, so maybe a private boat with my own concierge.

My dream vacation would be to travel all of the UK and Ireland with my best friend and visit many of the great sites associated with history and literature.
I would love to go to Santorini Greece and surrouding islands.
My husband and I have hashed around the idea of two very different vacations. One is to visit friends in Italy and make side trips to Florence, Sienna and Pompeii. It would be great if we had at least 10 days. We almost have enough for plane fare and passports at this time. The other is to take a small trailer and travel cross country to visit touristy places and various architectural oddities. We'd like to spend two days at the Treesort in Washington state. That trip would take at least 4 weeks. We don't have anything saved towards it and have yet to determine any details. It's fun to dream.
My dream vacation would be island hoping in the Polynesian islands with my family. We would learn to scuba and snorkel and explore the undersea and island life. I want us to explore a new place together. I still want to go back to Australia and New Zealand to explore, but I have been there already, so it would not be new.

My dream vacation is a trip to Maldives with my love and our son. It's one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen in Pictures. Making this dream into a reality would be the second greatest gift. My first is my son. I want to show him the beauty of this world and teach him that we need to achieve dreams not matter how big or small. To believe that anything can be done if we just believe in ourselves. This dream vacation would be our first incredible journey as a family.

My dream vacationS, you mean? I'm planning my first next year, a week in London, a week in Paris, then 2 days at Disneyland Paris. Yippee!! I think if I had to choose a "not planned but dreamed of" vacation, it would be a week in the Maldives, all expenses paid with a clear bottomed kayak and a room over the water waiting for me!
I'd love to have a romantic partner to do some of the romantic travel destinations like Venice... but separate from that, I'm really looking forward to visiting New Zealand because its nature is breathtaking.

I would go to Hawaii to visit my sister and her husband, but I'd stay in a hotel so we could have our *away* time from each other also.

Cruising. Either a specialty cruise like JoCo (Jonathan Colton) which I have done or an ordinary cruise with family, which I have also done. I wouldn't mind cruising all year long.
I've always wanted to go to Zimbabwe. The colonial and post-colonial history of the country is really interesting and the country is supposed to be so incredibly beautiful. I would really recommend Alexandra Fuller's memoir, "Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight," if you're interested.
I think it would be one of those vacations were your plane ticket would be 65% of the total cost of the trip. Good thing/bad thing.

Mars and back. Seriously. I think it'd be downright amazing. But on a serious note, I think visiting ancestral grounds in Scotland, followed by a European trek.

My dream vacation is spending a month touring the UK!
I consider myself lucky, because I've had two dream vacations: the first, to London, England. Spent two glorious weeks - all by myself, mind - six years ago seeing the sites. The second trip was to Japan. Saw Tokyo, Kyoto, and Mt Fuji - got to ride a bullet train. Went with a friend and had a blast.
Now I get to decide where to go next year. That trip will depend on how much $$$ I can save and how well the economy is doing.
Last summer I accompanied my niece and her two sons back to the East Coast, using Alaska Airlines bonus passes (buy one ticket, second is $109). We visited Philly, New York City (I had a house-sitting gig) and then my dad's Christmas tree farm in South Jersey. We also did a day trip to Ocean City, NJ, where the boys swam in their first ocean.
It was great fun, but also too rushed. My ideal vacation would be the same itinerary but more time in each place -- and this time around I'd bring my life partner, who's never met my dad or been to South Jersey.
