Hi, I’m Kyle, a 20-something (barely!) living in Atlanta, GA. For my day job, I work for a software company but ever since graduating college, investing, economics, and personal finance have been a huge hobby of mine. I have read literally dozens (if not hundreds) of books on investing, mutual funds, the economy, entrepreneurship, and business in general. Not surprisingly, I’ve accumulated quite a bit of knowledge on the subject, knowledge I want to share with others.
Amateur Asset Allocator is a blog about all things finance, investing, frugality, and the economy. My aim is to present personal finance, investing, and economic issues simply enough for beginners to easily understand but with enough substance so as not to bore veterans. Personal finance and investing isn’t particularly hard. Indeed, most of the concepts are quite simple. Over the years of writing here at Amateur Asset Allocator, I’ve come to the conclusion that, while financial literacy is a very good thing, even informed people who should know better keep making the same old mistakes time and time again. Until we get to the root of what actually causes financially-disastrous behavior, we’ll never be cured of it. One of my goals is to root out those causes and change financial behavior for the better.
