Almost everyone has their must watch TV show. Whether you are into reality TV or dramas, turning on the television is a great way to unwind after a long day at the office. However, if your favorite show is on cable, sometimes paying for cable can put a strain on your budget.
Do you pay for cable TV? Why or why not? If you don't, how do you watch shows on cable channels without paying for cable?

Kind of. I use a combination of hulu and "basic limited cable." What most people don't know is that all cable companies (satellite companies are excluded) are federally mandated to offer a "basic limited cable" package for $10/mo. So we pay $10 for cable and watch everything else on hulu. We obviously don't get the full lineup of cable channels for that cheap, but we get enough to get by.
No. I can't seem to bring myself to pay for T.V. shows.
I don't. I have roku and netflix... but I am considering cable... even just basic, because the reception on my antenna is so bad.
I have satellite and if my mother didn't live with me, I would dump it. I could be happy with just the local channels and watching shows on the Internet.
I don't pay for cable and never have. I use Netflix and Hulu. Netflix is cheaper and Hulu is free! I like your website on Facebook.

Haven't had cable since 2000 and don't miss it. I use free Hulu, Netflix and a great local library for TV and movies. I generally watch sports with friends or at a bar.
It wasn't originally to save money; in 2000 I moved into a new apartment but postponed getting cable so I could concentrate on finishing my dissertation. A few months later I had my degree but also realized I didn't miss cable all that much. Now that I look back and realize just how much money I've saved over eleven years, I wonder why I ever had cable in grad school at all.
We have Netflix here. $10 bucks a month for unlimited streaming(through the XBox 360) and a one DVD out at a time(Though we rarely use that option). Saves us a couple hundred $$$(cable bill was likw $200 after the promotion ended) and we can watch all of our tv shows without commercials! Don't think I could ever do cable again(THough I do miss watching the local news station but their websites are a good alternative!).
Nope - We cut the cord 7 months ago and I don't miss much. Boxee on the HTPC, plus Netflix (on the PS3, actually, because Boxee's Netflix interface is not great), and we play far more video games than watch TV shows anyway.
I will admit to missing a couple of shows. But, they'll hit DVD eventually!
Yes, I pay for Cable.. I would get by with just Netflix and Hulu, but I LOVE a couple shows on HBO and Shotime.
