Welcome Janet Al-Saad, Wise Bread's New Senior Editor

Wise Bread is growing, and we're expanding our team to help bring our message of financial wisdom to an even larger audience. Help us welcome our new Senior Editor of Personal Finance, Janet Al-Saad. She'll use her extensive background in financial journalism to direct all investing and personal finance content for the site.

Janet was previously Managing Editor of Mint.com and Quicken, overseeing the award-winning blogs of the world's largest personal finance tools. There, she doubled site traffic and expanded the brands' social presence, all while managing over thirty writers and helping win a Webby Award. She collaborated with NYT best-selling authors and financial experts,such as Dan Solin, Jean Chatzky, Chris Elliott, and Beth Kobliner to bring Mint and Quicken's expertise to the public.

Janet has also been Contributing Editor and On-Camera Host for TheStreet, where she delivered daily on-camera reports from the NYSE and NASDAQ, and interviewed the CEOs of F500 companies, US Senators, and Governors. Janet oversaw synchronicity between the written and video operations, and authored and edited articles on everything from M&A to personal finance.

At First Business, Janet was a reporter and co-anchor for a nationally syndicated business news show appearing in over 70 US markets. She interviewed economists, traders, and fund managers on national TV.

Earlier, she was U.S. News Editor of Reuters-BreakingViews, a financial commentary service appearing in major global newspapers, such as The Wall Street Journal and the London Telegraph. She also worked in finance, as Director of Communications for PEAK6 Investments/OptionsHouse.com, being instrumental in the launch of WeSeed.com, OptionsHouse,com, and the Options News Network.

Janet's written work has appeared in the likes of The Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, and Men's Health, and she is a frequent source for major media. She is a guest lecturer at The University of Alabama, and has been invited to speak at major conferences, such as CES. Additionally, she has been an editor, writer, and on-camera host for financial services giants ranging from JPMorgan Chase, Franklin Templeton and Allstate to UBS and American Express. Janet holds an MBA in Global Finance from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University and is the founder of personal finance blog, FiveTenTwentyClub.com.
