Ben's Bargains is one of the oldest deal and coupon sites on the internet. The man behind this awesome frugal shopping destination is Ben Chui. He created the site when he was a sophomore at the University of California at Berkeley, and now eight years later the site is still going strong. Today he took time out of his constant deal hunting to tell us a few things about his businesses and saving money online.

Last year I told you about Walgreens free ink refill promotion, and the response was overwhelming! Apparently your participation in the program was heard loud and clear by Walgreens, and they have decided to do it again!

I’m sure everyone is aware that this year is the last year to get an analog signal on your television. As part of a process to improve media, any TV’s still using rabbit ears will need to get with the program; and you’ll need to get a converter box. By signing up for the Coupon Program, you can get credit towards the purchase of an eligible converter box and avoid much of the cost of the required upgrade to digital. Here’s how it works, and what you can expect from the program.

Ann Taylor Loft is one of those stores I can spend hours in, but I almost always walk away without a purchase. Why? The products are fabulous, but the prices don’t always fit my tight budget. This weekend, they are offering free shipping on all purchases (no minimum required), and dozens of too-good-to-be true deals. Check it out!

Friends, deal hounds, bargain hunters, lend me your ears; if ye don't know about the best coupon site on the web, bar none, then this will indeed be a most glorious day for thee (sorry, I'm really not Shakespeare). But in all seriousness, there is one site I have bookmarked that I visit before I buy anything online, ever. And you should, too.

Right now Safeway is having an event called Savings Rally which lasts until February 26th. The deal is that you get a dollar off coupon for buying a number of items off a list of 2000 participating items. If you buy 25 or more items you will get a coupon for $20 off the next purchase. If you buy 20 to 24 items you get a coupon for $10 off the next purchase, and if you buy 10 to 19 items you get a coupon for $5 off on the next purchase. Read on for my story of getting a carload of groceries for $13.

Couponing and bargain shopping are not for everyone. It takes some time to clip the coupons, organize them, and keep track of sales at all of your favorite stores. But since I've gotten into it, I realized I was missing out on some very simple deals. A number of retailers and manufacturers run perpetual sales or coupon deals on products such that you would be a chump to pay full price for them.
