You don’t have to be a die-hard comic geek to enjoy Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, May 3rd. Check out the list of participating retailers, and show some support for your favorite super-hero!
As a long-time admirer of Spider-Man, I’m not exactly what you would consider classic comic fan material. I do, however, love sharing Spidey’s adventures with my kids, who in turn, have grown to appreciate both the artistic and literary value of some of the more popular comics. If you’re looking for an excuse to pop by your local comic shop and show your support for a new kind of holiday, maybe Free Comic Book Day is for you!

In addition to handing out free comics to anyone entering the store on Saturday, May 3, participating comic shops will have some pretty exciting in-store promotions going on. My local comic retailer (Krypton Comics) is having special appearances by Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett in Star Wars), Gary Freidrich (creator of Ghost Rider), and a few Stormtroopers. Who knows what could be going on at your local store?
Whether you’re young, or just young at heart, there will be free comics from the following comic series:
And many, many more!
If you’re going to be in the neighborhood and are thinking about celebrating Free Comic Book Day, bring a friend! There are plenty of goodies for everyone (including Star Wars figurines at all stores.) May the Force Be With You!

Thats very cool, there are every few things better then free comics. I am a big fan of HellBoy btw.
I went to a local place called Collector Mart, and they had so many mags for free. The guys were really friendly and even had stuff suitable for my young girls. Thanks for the info.
